The 5 mile restriction, due to be lifted across Scotland tomorrow, will remain in place in Annan, Gretna, Dumfries, Lockerbie, Langholm and Canonbie following the confirmed few positive cases of coronavirus in and around Gretna and Annan.
The contact testing over this weekend will confirm whether the situation has been contained. If you live in DG1, DG2, DG11, DG12, DG13,DG14 or DG16 please do not travel further than 5 miles for recreation purposes.
Face coverings are mandatory in all shops, on public transport and in taxis from next week and the 2 metre social distancing rule continues.
This Scottish Government decision will have an impact for many of us. For further information on the joint statement from the NHS & Dumfries and Galloway Council click on the link.
