Wow! It’s Easter weekend and the sun is shining. After what feels like a very long year, it seems as if we’re turning a corner.
Declining numbers of new Covid cases in our region and great progress in the rollout of vaccinations mean that we have cause for optimism.
However, we mustn’t let our guard down. We must continue to defend ourselves against a still deadly virus and do all that we can to keep infection rates low. Everyone should continue to follow the FACTS guidance. Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms should self-isolate with their household and book a test at a testing unit.
Spring is a time for renewal and new beginnings. This issue of Community highlights a number of youth initiatives and projects that give a taster of what can be achieved once Covid restrictions are eased. The future is indeed bright.
Meanwhile, sticking to the current restrictions, we offer our very best wishes for Passover and Easter.
