The fight against Covid seems to go on and on. No sooner do we appear to be making progress when another hot spot emerges. However, on the whole, we’re moving in the right direction.
There will, unfortunately, be setbacks as we strive to achieve restart, renewal and recover but it’s important to regard them as blips while we do everything that we can to prevent them.
It’s easy to be lulled by low rates of infections and deaths but it’s key we remember that Covid can still be deadly. As places open up and we head out, we must continue to be cautious and sensible. We must still consider the wellbeing of ourselves and others, including our own loved ones.
In this week’s Community, there are some helpful tips to aid your wellbeing. Financial stress is wearing at the best of times but the Covid pandemic has made it so much worse for many people. Covid restrictions have also had a disproportionate effect on young people so it’s good to see our youth services opening up again.
Walking appears to have made a bit of a comeback during Covid, with many people pounding the streets. We could all do with lacing up our trainers and getting out and about for some fresh air.
